Which settings to aim for with your card

For each card: the highest settings level that stays smooth, and the expected frame-rate range. This is a conservative estimate worked out from the publisher's recommended specs, not a measurement: your processor, drivers and game updates move it.

Without DLSS, FSR or frame generation: turning them on raises the frame rate noticeably when the game offers them.

Best settings

Best graphics settings for Fishing Planet by graphics card

The setting ORION's “Recommended” profile would pick to play at 60 frames per second: the best-looking detail level that stays smooth, with upscaling when it lets you go one step up (DLSS on GeForce RTX, XeSS on Intel Arc, FSR on other cards). If Fishing Planet doesn't offer it, use the level from the previous table.

At these levels, ORION keeps textures on high from 8 GB of video memory (they cost memory, hardly any frames), sets the frame cap on the target for steady pacing, turns off motion blur and film grain, and leaves vertical sync off. This is a conservative estimate, not a measurement: in ORION, the first measured session corrects the setting.

Questions

Fishing Planet at a glance

Which graphics card do I need for Fishing Planet at 1080p?

The publisher recommends: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 or AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT. By our conservative estimate, high settings hold 60 frames per second at 1080p with a GeForce RTX 3080, and a GeForce RTX 3060 gets there with lower settings.

What are the best graphics settings for Fishing Planet on an RTX 4060?

For 60 frames per second at 1080p, ORION's “Recommended” profile would pick High + DLSS Balanced settings: between 58 and 81 frames per second according to our conservative estimate.

Can I run Fishing Planet on an RTX 3060?

By our estimate, a GeForce RTX 3060 runs Fishing Planet at 1080p on low settings, between 58 and 81 frames per second.

Can I run Fishing Planet on an RTX 4060?

By our estimate, a GeForce RTX 4060 runs Fishing Planet at 1080p on low settings, between 69 and 95 frames per second.

How much RAM does Fishing Planet need?

The publisher recommends 16 GB of RAM (minimum: 8 GB).

How much storage does Fishing Planet take?

The official page asks for 14 GB of storage.

How are these estimates worked out?

The publisher's recommended specs are the reference point (about 60 frames per second at 1080p on high settings, unless the publisher says otherwise). Each card's power is compared with the recommended card (the average when the publisher names several), then adjusted to the screen resolution. A low margin is kept, and less video memory than recommended drops one level.
