ORION › Game requirements › Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, by Saber Interactive (Action, Adventure, RPG), came out on Steam on September 9, 2024. Here are the official specs, and what they mean on the most common graphics cards.
Estimate per graphics card
For each card: the highest settings level that stays smooth, and the expected frame-rate range. This is a conservative estimate worked out from the publisher's recommended specs, not a measurement: your processor, drivers and game updates move it.

Without DLSS, FSR or frame generation: turning them on raises the frame rate noticeably when the game offers them.
Best settings
The setting ORION's “Recommended” profile would pick to play at 60 frames per second: the best-looking detail level that stays smooth, with upscaling when it lets you go one step up (DLSS on GeForce RTX, XeSS on Intel Arc, FSR on other cards). If Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 doesn't offer it, use the level from the previous table.
| Graphics card | 1080p | 1440p |

| GeForce RTX 5070 | High61–84 fps | High + DLSS Balanced58–81 fps |
| GeForce RTX 4070 | High + DLSS Quality71–99 fps | Medium + DLSS Quality60–83 fps |
| Radeon RX 7800 XT | High58–80 fps | High + FSR Balanced57–78 fps |
| GeForce RTX 4060 Ti | High + DLSS Quality56–76 fps | Low + DLSS Quality63–87 fps |
| GeForce RTX 3070 | High + DLSS Quality56–76 fps | Low + DLSS Quality63–87 fps |
| Intel Arc B580 | Medium + XeSS Quality62–86 fps | Low + XeSS Balanced60–84 fps |

| Radeon RX 7600 | Medium + FSR Quality59–81 fps | Low + FSR Balanced57–79 fps |
| GeForce RTX 3060 | Medium + DLSS Balanced57–79 fps | Low + DLSS Performance56–78 fps |
| Radeon RX 6600 | Low + FSR Quality64–89 fps | Low + FSR Balancedcapped at 50 fps |
| GeForce GTX 1660 Super | Low + FSR Performance56–78 fps | Low + FSR Qualitycapped at 30 fps |
At these levels, ORION keeps textures on high from 8 GB of video memory (they cost memory, hardly any frames), sets the frame cap on the target for steady pacing, turns off motion blur and film grain, and leaves vertical sync off. This is a conservative estimate, not a measurement: in ORION, the first measured session corrects the setting.

Where to buy
The official page first. In ORION, the Store tab compares prices across shops, with the official stores listed before key resellers.
On your PC
ORION is a free game launcher for Windows. It reads your graphics card, processor and screen, estimates every game in your library, then measures the real frame rate while you play and sets the game up with its "Recommended" profile. No account, no ads.
Questions
The publisher recommends: 8 GB VRAM, AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT / Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070. By our conservative estimate, high settings hold 60 frames per second at 1080p with a Radeon RX 7800 XT, and a Radeon RX 7600 gets there with lower settings.
For 60 frames per second at 1080p, ORION's “Recommended” profile would pick Medium + DLSS Quality settings: between 60 and 83 frames per second according to our conservative estimate.
By our estimate, a GeForce RTX 3060 runs Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 at 1080p on low settings, between 52 and 71 frames per second.
By our estimate, a GeForce RTX 4060 runs Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 at 1080p on low settings, between 61 and 84 frames per second.
The publisher recommends 16 GB of RAM (minimum: 8 GB).
The official page asks for 75 GB of storage.
The publisher's recommended specs are the reference point (about 60 frames per second at 1080p on high settings, unless the publisher says otherwise). Each card's power is compared with the recommended card (the average when the publisher names several), then adjusted to the screen resolution. A low margin is kept, and less video memory than recommended drops one level.
